Ken's Latest Interactions

Last night I received a call from Michele See letting me know that this past weekend we lost another one of Paramus High School's standouts, Cynthia King. Cynthia was part of that free thinking, beat generation, smart, and talented crowd that wasn't deep into sports, but had a much deeper insight to life.
It's almost impossible to think about Cynthia without thinking about Jane, Loretta, John Osborn, Mimi Bauer, Judith Jaffa, Steve Parker, Harry Lazare, Art Vorob, Leslie Bornstein, and all the others who in my opinion were way ahead of their time (sorry for those of you I missed, but that's all that comes to mind at this tragic moment).
Cynthia fought a long battle with cancer, something she was very private about, and only shared her illness with a few of her closest friends who respected her wishes and remained silent.
This is the one part of managing our website that I don't like. People like Cynthia make the world a better place. Losing someone like Cynthia must be devastating to those closest to her. I'm sorry for your loss.
Rest in Peace Cynthia. We all loved your smile, laugh, and wit. You will be missed.
It is with the deepest sorry that I have to let everyone know that this past Saturday we lost a true one of a kind classmate, human being, your friend, and my lifelong friend. Bob had been ill for a few months, but would always rally and give us hope that he would pull through. Unfortunately, it was one battle after another and his body just gave out. A mere mortal would have succumbed at the onset of what was to be multiple illnesses. Bob was a giant of a man, so if anyone could have beat it, it would be The Captain.
He's the first of "The Usual Suspects," our band of merry men who played hard together for over 55 years to depart this Earth. This is a big "ouch" for all of us who knew him.
Below his obit are a few pictures of Bob and his friends that were taken over the past few decades on our annual adventures. I think he would appreciate my posting them, especially his parting wave.
I'll see you on the other side

My Dear Candy
I’ve been emailing you and even sent you a letter to find out if you were on and never heard back.
Our 55th reunion is next Saturday the 23rd. Can you make it?
I’ll reach out to you on Yahoo email. Nice to hear from you
??
Mac and I were the best of friends since the 4th grade at Farview. We stayed friends all through life. He lived with me in California in the late 1970's for several years, and made many trips to California. We vacationed together, and stayed close since the 50+ years after high school. There was never a trip back East that didn't include a visit with the McManus'.
Life won't be the same without Mighty Mac
